Job Description

Assistant Management Accountant | £28,000 | Education | East ManchesterI am partnering with a leading Education group who are looking to bring on an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to aid the wider finance team with the porduction of the groups maagement accountsin all aspects of the management accounting process.The Assistant Management Accountant will provide a commericial oppertunity with a chance to partner with key stakeholders such as site managers and key budget holders across all parts of the organisation in the preparation of monthly accounts including maintainingand managing the sub-ledgers.Day to Day;

Assist the Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Varience analysis, including the identification of errors and preparation of correcting journal entries.
Help put together and distribute regular internal budget reports for all departmental budget holders - providing additional commentary where required.
Support the Management Accountant in the preparation for budget meetings - including cost analysis.
To ensure the accuracy and integrity of information held within the finance system by performing detailed financial reconciliations between relevant sub-ledgers and with Excel records.
The preparation of petty cash/bank reconciliations for group and individual nursery sites and resolving any subsequent queries.

Successful Candidate;

Graduate or AAT qualified studying towards their professioanl CIMA / ACCA qualification.
Previous expereince in a Management Accountant role is highly desirable.
Proven experience of working in a financial ledger environment
Demonstrable experience of using, and sound working knowledge of, financial accounting software
Effective communication skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with people at all levels
Proven numeracy skills with advanced knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
