Job Description

Experienced Support Workers and Senior Support Workers required for a childrens residential service, in Denton. (Full time, Perm Position) Support Workers £9.50 to £10.50 plus £50 per sleep-in allowance. Senior Support Workers £10.50 to £11.50 plus £50 per sleep-in allowance. Shifts provided a month in advance, usual shifts are 10am - 11pm finish, or Sleep over.You will be joining an organisation that is committed to providing young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties a home away from home. Offering a nurturing approach, they aim to equip their young people with the tools to strive for independence and a positive future.The Role:As a Support Worker, you will;

  • Deliver the highest standard of care to the residents
  • Ensure the young peoples physical and psychological welfare is well looked after.
  • Be responsible for engaging the young people in various activities
  • Support their educational needs and help them learn independent living skills.
  • Seniors will be required to lead the shift.The Person:To qualify for the Support Worker role, you must have;
  • Experience within childrens residential, either EBD, mental health, complex needs or learning disabilities
  • An NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Childrens and Young Peoples residential care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A can do attitude with motivation to achieve excellence
