Job Description

An experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Manager needed for a small childrens home in Denton. Brilliant opportunity for a Deputy to join a supportive, caring, flexible and approachable company. Offering a nurturing approach, they aim to equip their young people with the tools to strive for independence and a positive future.The Role; As a Deputy Manager, you will;

  • Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, motivation, creativity and management to other staff.
  • Be involved in staff supervisions and appraisals.
  • Work predominantly Monday to Friday, with flexibility to cover shifts as and when needed.
  • Ensure the young peoples physical and psychological welfare is well looked after.
  • Train and induct new staff.
  • The Person; To qualify for the Deputy Manager role you will need;
  • A Minimum of 6 months experience as a Deputy Manager within a childrens residential home
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A can do attitude with motivation to achieve excellence
  • Confidence to deal with challenging behaviour
  • The NVQ / QCF Level 3 (Childrens & Young People)
