Job Description

Health and Safety ConsultantAbout Our ClientThey are a Health and Safety Consultancy and have been working in the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental industry for 15 years covering many different sectors. They have a diverse range of clients, and pride themselves in providing a first-class service.They look after organisations and businesses of any shape and size, and offer practical and innovative solutions keeping them safe, compliant and profitable.They have seen a significant period of growth over the last 18 months, which will be further supported by substantial marketing strategy in 2023/24. To support the expected growth that the increased in marketing will bring, they require an experienced anddynamic individual to join the team to be the focal point of this element of the business. This role key and strategic role will work closely the Directors and is supported by both internal and external consults who already delivering to their existing clientbase.Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support clients on the CDM regulations
  • Provide high quality health, safety and environmental services
  • Carrying out health and safety audits
  • Attend continual and professional development meetings and training
  • Advise and instruct clients in the use of Health & Safety Management Systems and other relevant technical documents and online services
  • Supporting the client through accident investigations
  • Carry out site inspections
  • Support clients to achieve associated accreditations
  • Submit any relevant reports or other such associated documents in accordance with client demand
  • Writing risk assessments
Key Experience:
  • A member of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
  • You should be a natural collaborator with an affinity for developing positive relationships with clients, promoting our clients services both internally to the wider HSQE business, and externally to clients
  • Possessing excellent communication skills; you should also be a fluent and confident report writer
  • Rail Industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience in rolling out improvement programmes and projects
  • Be computer literate and able to utilise modern technologies
  • Be an engaging, adaptable, and innovative
  • Have major project experience
Role Requirements:
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Knowledge of Network Rail working practices and standards, particularly those associated with RISQS, ISO Management Systems
  • Knowledge of Construction Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental arrangements
  • Excellent knowledge and use of MS Office
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate and or working towards Diploma or a Level 6 Qualification in HSQE related discipline
  • Minimum Tech IOSH
