Job Description

Group HR Manager opportunity available working for a leading company based in Wigan, Greater Manchester on a full-time permanent basis. This role is based at their Wigan site 3 days per week and offers hybrid home working 2 days per week. There is Europeantravel required in the role on a quarterly basis on average for at least 1-2 days.Reporting directly into the Director, the Group HR Manager oversees a robust HR service spanning Europe, managing operations for approximately 150 staff across UK and Europe. Focussing on aligning HR strategies with current employment legislation, this rolespearheads transformative people management initiatives, ensuring the successful execution of HR projects that drive organisational excellence. This role offers plenty of scope for career development and progression.The role:

  • Manage the HR function and responsible for a HR Administrator onsite.
  • Strategically lead HR projects.
  • Develop and implement project plans, overseeing all HR project phases from initiation to closure.
  • Provide strategic and proactive advice aligned with the Group’s Vision, purpose and values.
  • Act as a driving force in leading HRIS changes to adapt to technological advancements.
  • Responsible for HR processes, culture development and talent management.
  • Employee Engagement initiatives.
  • Standardise UK and EU practices, ensuring seamless and professional services.
  • Responsible for recruitment strategy across all locations, managing recruitment and legal budgets, ensuring cost effective strategies and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Implement and monitor the HRIS, ensuring accurate records for benefits, hires, promotions, transfers, compensation, performance reviews and terminations.
  • Assessment and recommendation of compensation plans and structures.
  • Prepare reports and recommend procedures and programs to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
The role is paying up to £55,000 DOE plus car allowance. This role offers further additional Benefits including private healthcare scheme, Pension scheme, 25 days holidays + BH which rise one day per year capped at 30 days + BH plus many more!
