Job Description

Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a proactive experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join an established business near AshburtonWorking as a key part of a friendly office team, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and supporting the Director by providing timely and accurate accounts. The Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for a variety of duties including:

  • Maintaining the purchase ledger.
  • Banking and bank reconciliations.
  • Running the weekly payroll.
  • Quarterly VAT returns and management accounts.
  • Bank consolidation and approving payments.
  • Producing reports both for P & L and balance sheet as required.
  • Dealing with credit card payments.
  • Providing support to the Director including reports etc, as necessary
  • Ensuring excellent customer service, resolving customer queries and handling sales enquiries, producing and issuing contracts.
  • Supervising staff and supporting the general office administration.
Salary: £27,000 - £33,000pa depending on experienceHours: 8:30am - 4:30pmMon - Fri (some flexibility)Location: Office based with parking, due to the location own transport is essentialSenior Bookkeeper - The Person:This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper seeking to move into a varied busy role with a friendly, stable business where youll be a valued part of the team.This role will suit a proactive individual able to manage their own workload to meet deadlines, whilst also enjoying being part of a friendly small team.You will possess recent accounts experience including ledgers, reconciliations and VAT returns and management accounts, payroll experience is a bonus!You are likely to be AAT qualified, however applicants QBE are also very welcome.Strong IT skills including Sage is essential along with first rate attention to detail.An effective communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers is essential.________________________________________________________________________This is an urgent requirement; CVs will be reviewed upon receipt with interviews to take place ASAP.________________________________________________________________________Isca Recruitment Ltd provides services as an agency and an employment business.
