Job Description

Are you a highly experienced and finance professional who thrives in a busy and productive office and who is not afraid of a challenge, do you have an excellent eye for detail who is well organised with excellent interpersonal skills andthe ability to work both in a team but also autonomously Are you a natural highlypersonable multi-tasker, seeking a role that will be highly fulfilling working with teams that are diverse, forward thinking and supportivewith a real potential for developmentThis role would suit an experienced ‘number 2’ or a strong, established Finance Manager ready for their next challenge. This role is truly unique with facets of financial transactions and processes that not many people would have experienced before. Beprepared to learn new things, to be resilient and to work with a vast array of individuals and stakeholders. You would be providing vital support to the established Finance Manager and will deputise in their absence.This role will require a desire to learn, an interest in charitable and grant funding and awareness managing funds and working within covenants would be desirable.General Duties will include, not exhaustively:

  • Invoice processing, approvals and payment funds.
  • Preparation of management accounts for committee/board meetings and preparation of year end accounts.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties such as accountants, auditors and clients.
  • Budgeting and cash flow including working with investment funds as well as with project managers withan ever changing project book.
  • Attend quarterly meetings and support accordingly with administration tasks and follow up.
  • Weekly PL processing / payment runs.
  • Keeping up to date with and follow up on unapproved invoices/expense claims.
  • Supplier maintenance.
  • Monitoring the accounts for a charitable arm of the business.
  • Experience in Payroll is an advantage but not a requirement.
This role will require someone with strong computer literacy skills, including the MS suite as well as being a confident communicator both in person, online and over the telephone. Organisation is key for this role and will require someone who is not scared of new and very different challenges.The ideal candidate will hold ICB/AAT Level 4 or equivalent or possibly be part qualified.This role is office hours Monday to Friday with a working week of35 hours. The team offer great flexibility to work around daily life such as childcare and appointments.
