Job Description

Age UKs superb Telephone Friendship Service team are recruiting for two MCST Project Officers on a 12-month fixed-term contract. With thanks to generous funding from the Association of British Insurers COVID-19 Support Fund, our brand-new Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy programme will enablethe team to offer support to older people living with dementia across the UK.The MCST programme will offer those living with dementia the opportunity to take part in weekly group meetings over video call. The group participate in meaningful and stimulating activities that help maintain their memory and mental functioning. The groupsalso provide a fun, supportive environment where people can build new friendships.As MCST Project Officer, you will support every aspect of the implementation and running of the national groups, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard, that all MCST therapeutic requirements are met, and that older members havea positive and stimulating experience.Youll become an expert in the MCST therapy, taking ownership for managing your own set of groups, ensuring a suitable programme of activities is in place, and effectively training and supervising other facilitators to work on the groups.
