Job Description

Management AccountantAshburton£40000Monday - FridayOur client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their financial service team who look after a variety of interests. This role will mainly be working on the accounts for the business and their online company.However, there will also be work supporting the team on accounts for our clients other business too.You will be responsible for all management accounting activities within the ethical butcher plus accounting support for other entities/partnerships.You will be required to;

  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting records, budgets and strategic plans.
  • Excellent documentary and contract control and day to day management / ownership of tasks
  • To support the directors and managers as and when required
  • To deliver accurate & up to date accounting records/reports and plans
  • To take ownership and accountability for delivery of core activities
  • Proven self-starter and problem solver
  • General Payroll management and HR admin
  • Processing of quarterly VAT returns
  • Adhoc tasks as required as part of a small team.
Experience
  • Experience of reporting, building budgets/plans, VAT returns, Payroll, & monthly reconciliations
  • Previous experience of accounting systems, preferably Xero Software
  • Excellent excel skills and knowledge of accounting principles
  • Ability to work to deadlines & excellent organisation skills
