We have a vital role to play in the production of cast iron for above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater and gutter systems.Saint-Gobain PAM is part of a wider sustainable development approach over our entire product life cycle. A great Operator at Saint-Gobain PAM will put safety above all else, work well in a team and be enthusiastic about the work they do. As a quick learner, youll be flexible to work in different areas, take responsibility for the work youdo and always show good attention to detail. You will be working Monday - Thursday, working days one week and nights the next, with Friday - Sunday off.We believe were great at training technical skills so you dont need any previous experience. However, there are some specific skills we are looking for from suitable candidates:

What will I be doing in the roleOur Operators are very important to the smooth running of the business. Their role is important to help ensure site products are finished on time to the highest quality standards. All Operators who work within PAM put health and safety first and are providedwith the opportunity to suggest improvements to the process or area that they work within.The primary accountabilities of the Team Operator role are to actively participate and contribute towards:
  • Working in a safe manner and ensuring the safety of those around them at all times
  • Having an awareness of the environmental impacts of their activities
  • Upholding standards with regards current processes and the quality of products
  • Their teams morale and the overall site culture
  • A continuous improvement approach to all aspects of their work
As an Operator in Melting - you will be responsible for the preparation of the scrap metal and monitoring of the melting parameters required to achieve high quality ductile iron.As an Operator in Moulding - you will play a crucial role in the arrangement of the casting, and ensure key components are carefully positioned, ready for the iron to be poured.As an Operator in Finishing - youll assemble our products and use hand tools to finish them to a high standard so your attention to detail will be second to none to ensure only the best quality products reach our customers.About UsAre PAM and Saint-Gobain an Inclusive employerWere keen to hire talented people regardless of their background, abilities, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, taste in music, fashion sense or anything in-between that makes you, you!
