For this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following qualifications, skills and experience;

/ NEBOSH / NVQ in a relevant environmental subject
WAMITAB registered or working towards
Knowledge of environmental legislation
Detailed understanding and experience of the ISO 14001 and 50001 standards
Experience of compliance and auditing
Experience of working with Environment Management Systems
Computer literate, with experience in using Microsoft Office programmes

What will I be doing in the roleTo support the leadership team on all Environmental requirements of the site in accordance with legislative and Saint-Gobain Standards. You will promote a culture of continuous improvement that focuses on compliance, reducing waste, Energy and water. Inthis role you will;

Work with site management team and EHS Manager to develop the Environment objectives for the site, including improvement plans and projects
Lead the Environmental Pillar for the site
Develop and implement an EMS for the site
Identify examples of best practice within Saint-Gobain, advise managers on actions required and support their implementation
Organise training, provide advice and support on Environmental matters, keeping records where required
Control of the movement, monitoring and measurement of all wastes generated on site
Under the guidance of the EHS Manager, communicate the interpretation of and work with site teams to ensure full compliance of Saint-Gobain standards and legislative requirements in all aspects of Environment compliance Ensure that all Environmental incidentsare fully investigated in order to identify root cause.
Manage risk activity for the site in a rigorous and proactive manner in conjunction with managers at site
