Job Description

If this sounds like you, please read on to find out more about the Mechanical Shift Maintenance Engineer opportunity.How you will utilize your expertise:This role is working with Saint-Gobain PAM UK who are based in Melton Mowbray. PAM UK is the premier supplier of ductile iron and cast iron products to the UKs key utilities, telecoms, highways, civil engineering, construction and housing companies. From this foundry we manufactures a range of access and drainage covers.This position is a shift role and will require you to works across days, afternoons and night shifts and also 1 weekend a month.As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you react to breakdowns and carry out Planned/Scheduled Maintenance checks on heavy duty production machinery and plant including, foundry equipment, overhead cranes, conveyors, transfer cars and moulding equipment.You will work in a team of 4, reporting to an Engineering Supervisor and play and integral part in keeping production moving.This is a great opportunity for you to join a truly global organisation who can offer you professional development and growthWhat kind of person are we looking forFirst and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working.   • Apprenticed trained Mechanical Engineer
  • An experienced Maintenance Engineer who has carried out PPMs and reactive maintenance
  • Previously worked in a production/manufacturing environment - ideally heavy engineering
  • An industry recognised qualification - NVQ 3 or ONC/HNC
  • Experience of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • The ability to work shifts
