At the heart of the estate is a house with an eclectic collection including masses of model ships, pilesof pewter and museum room of the last owners collectables. The stables now house the National Trusts Carriage Collection. The formal and kitchen gardens are set a little way from the house while the pleasure grounds merge into the Park and wider countryside.8km of the River Yeo meanders through the estate, edged by conifer and broadleaf woodland, which stretches up the steep sides of the river valley, and opens out into farmland above. You would be joining an ambitious team, who are working to break the hard lines between monocultured habitats, softening edges and creating a more mosaiced, and dynamic landscape. This includes the planting of trees, encouraging species rich grassland andtrailing techniques to slow water flows and reconnect watercourses with their floodplains. It is important that people are at the heart of what we do, so that they can share in, and benefit from the transformative nature gains that we will be making. As our ambition grows, we will actively be working with, and be led by communities to create incredibleoutdoor experiences for all.If you want to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, that care about creating abundant and diverse habitats, who inspire, challenge and supports each other, then we would like to hear from you.For more information about our property please visit days-out/regionsouthwest/devon What youll be doing This role will be working to deliver practical support for the Arlington Ranger Team.
