Job Description

General Ledger SupportContract Type: PermanentLocation: Ansty, CoventrySalary: £29,637 - £34,866 depending on experienceAt Cadent were excited to be part of the future of UK energy! Together were shaping/creating a cleaner, greener future for our 11 million customers whom we put at the heart of everything we do.About The RoleAs our General Ledger Support, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Manager and wider Team. Youll be responsible for ensuring support is provided to meet teams objectives and requirements, whilst supporting with the development,collation and production of Key Performance Indicators.The successful candidate will work within and promote the philosophy of safe team working, whilst facilitating and efficiently co-ordinating and administering projects the team is working on. They will actively demonstrate and promote the Cadent Values,and positively contribute to a customer-oriented approach. Along with this there is an expectation of contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence by adhering to agreed standard operating procedures and making suggestions forimprovements, whilst being inquisitive with an interest in developing existing skill set and learning new skills.Key Accountabilities

  • Support in the management of a timely monthly close cycle including the efficient and accurate maintenance of feeder system interfaces into the General Ledger.
  • Support the maintenance of the General Ledger in accordance with Cadent policies and control framework.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through the implementation of best practice, drawing on external sources and internal references to drive increased value for the business
  • Drive key targets & control measurements that improve performances & process inefficiencies.
  • Ensure that data quality and security standards are monitored in line with requirements.
  • Support the delivery of change across the business, role-modelling new ways of working and owning delivery of key outcomes to drive the improvement of long-term business capability.
  • Administer the master data changes for general ledger
  • Dealing with complex general ledger & account queries to provide resolution to internal and external parties.
  • Receive, process, collate and provide routine systemised information to / from customers and internal parties
  • Delivery of internal and external audit requirements.
  • Resolve complex adhoc queries, including emergency payment requests and support other team members when required
  • Support with advance training requirements across all process impacting invoice processing, including systems training within SAP, S/4 & Ariba.
