Teaching Assistant (SEN), Arc School Ansley - this is a maternity cover post for up to one yearAs a Teaching Assistant at Arc School Ansley youll be working directly with young people in the classroom every day.Youll help them learn, monitor their work and help raise their self-esteem. Its not just about academic achievement; we want them to feel accepted and confident in their abilities.Youll need to be very resilient and dedicated to the wellbeing of our young people. Your support can be invaluable to teachers and young people, which means its very rewarding.Your profileAs an experienced Teaching Assistant already, you should be used to life in the classroom and up to date with welfare and safeguarding practices within education. Youll also need to be qualified to at least NVQ level 2 (or equivalent), but what were really looking for is the ability to connect. We need you to build great relationships with all our young people, so you can motivate them to do well and be the best that they can be. If youre emotionally strong and good in a team, we can offer a role with exciting prospects.There are occasional meetings outside school hours, for which your attendance will be required.About UsArc School Ansley is part of the Kedleston Group and opened in 2014.We are an independent specialist day school in Ansley, a lovely small village, for children and young people aged between 11 and 17.Our experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who may have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs.Many of our young people have experienced significant difficulties in mainstream school as a result of their associated social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
