Job Description

A leading security manufacturing company is seeking a Print Press Operative either with experience or as a trainee to join their busy team based in Ashbourne.This job is for an enthusiastic hardworking individual to work in a Global Number 1, Double Queens Award winning security tapes and labels manufacturing business.The job role requires a hardworking, confident, flexible, outgoing person who is willing to get involved and grow within the business, with day to day focus on running of print machines, converting raw material into their in-house manufactured security tapesand labels, that are shipped all over the globe. The role is hard work and will require full engagement and a good attitude for your full shift everyday.This role is responsible for the manufacture and quality control of specialist security tapes and labels ensuring only the highest quality goods get shipped to customers. The role requires a keen eye for detail and focus all day with a positive attitude.The main purpose of the role is to manufacture self adhesive tapes and labels according to customer specification using a range of production equipment.This role is for you if you are interested in working hard, doing lots of physical work, learning new skills every-day, manufacturing products and being involved in the process from start to finish, using state of the art machinery to turn raw materialsinto finished products that supply every industry globally!As a Printing Press Operative your duties and responsibilities will be:

Produce jobs according to exact customer specifications
To ensure raw materials are available and of excellent quality in preparation for production
To provide cover on other machines in the event of absences
Housekeeping of working area and machinery, ensuring H&S standards are adhered to
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant H&S procedures
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
Provide assistance in other areas of the business if required

An ideal Print Press Operative will have the following skills and qualifications although not essential as training will be given:

Experience using computers
GCSEs in Maths and English Grades A*- C (Beneficial)
Experience on Excel, Word and other Microsoft programmes
Forklift Truck Licence (Beneficial)
First Aid Qualified (Beneficial)
Highly competent in safe working practices (Critical)
Ability to distinguish colours

About the Role:

Working Shifts are 10 hrs per day on days or 12 hrs per day on nights with standard 32 hours overtime per month. Days 8am to 6pm or Nights 10pm to 10am
4 Days per Week
Overtime available
