Smart Education are looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant to have the opportunity to work in one of our Special Needs establishments in South Birmingham. We build great relationships with our schools, colleges and support staff so we can find the bestplacements for you.The establishment provides a bespoke curriculum including accredited learning, community enrichment opportunities, creative enterprise and therapeutic health and well-being.We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support young people aged 19 to 25 years with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities and Complex Care needs (PMLD).The successful candidate will be level 2 or 3 qualified and own a calm, patient, and caring persona, it is important that you have excellent communication skills and a good understanding of child/adult protection and safeguarding guidelines.You must have experience in working with and supporting young people in their education on a 1:1 basis, having the ability to provide manual handling and personal care.Qualifications Required: Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification. 6+ Months minimum experience.
