Job Description

We are successful, dynamic, ambitious and looking for greatteam players to grow with us.We know that our people are our greatest asset, and we are delighted to be growing our team further as we have a requirement for an experienced Business Development Manager.Building on exceptionally strong sales growth, the successful New Business Development Manager would be responsible for developing and organising sales activities across the South of the UK (South West, South Coast, South Wales and Central), account manageand develop an existing customer base, whilst sourcing new business opportunities and promoting the company as a valued source of supply to the building and window industry.We are looking for an experience Field Sales professional who can build pipeline through fostering strong relationships with customers via telephone, email and direct contact.

  • DUTIES:
    • Identify, attract and establish new customer accounts in line with agreed targets, profit margins and product mix
    • Ensure sales targets and budgets are met
    • Ensure customer satisfaction in all areas through regular feedback
    • Account management of an existing customer base via regular contact and promotion of product ranges
    • Travel to meet clients within your area (South UK) with occasional overnight stays
    • Preparing quotations / proposals for potential customers
    • Implementing marketing strategies and other projective guidelines and measures
    • Recording up to date information on CRM
  • KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
    • Previous / relevant experience within the Buildings, Merchant or UPVC industry
    • A strong commercial focus with a good understanding of profit margins and opportunities
    • The ability and experience to build strong relationships at a senior level
    • Strong people skills, with an ability to influence
    • Ambitious, enthusiastic, persistent and self-motivated
    • Focussed, disciplined with exceptional negotiation skills
    • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
    • Sound geographical knowledge with the ability to be active in the field
    • Thrive in a pressurised, sales-driven environment.
    • Must have a hunter mentality and be driven to earn
    • People person with the tenacity to build upon current customers and win new business
    • Good organisation and planning skills are critical to success
