Job Description

Our Client is a manufacturer of specialty chemicals. They are now seeking a European Sales Development Specialist - Personal Care / Cosmetic Ingredients. This position is a full time permanent role and will be based in the UK in either North West England or YorkshireThis position is a senior role and would be suitable for an experienced scientist working in the laboratory within the personal care / cosmetics arena who wishes to use their technical knowledge in a more commercial environment The successful candidate must be willing to travel on a regular basis within Western Europe and occasionally within Eastern EuropeKey Responsibilities

  • Our Client has an opportunity for a Sales Development Specialist to join their Personal Care business
  • In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities in the Personal Care market space for both new and existing personal care ingredients
  • Working collaboratively with the sales, marketing, and technical teams, you will leverage your skills and knowledge to promote products and support regional initiatives
  • You will work closely with the sales teams and customers in the region, providing training on relevant new products, applications, markets and regulatory environments
  • You will also explore unmet market opportunities and develop strategies that will help the business to target these prospects
    • Qualifications and Experience
  • Educated to degree level in Chemistry, Engineering or a related subject
  • You will be technically astute and capable of acquiring the knowledge to develop the market sector
  • Significant experience within the speciality chemical industry, with a preference for technical / formulation experience
  • Personal Care Formulation experience is desirable
  • You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to network and form good working relationships, both internally and externally
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills to be able to plan your own workload as well as effectively manage projects
  • Willingness to travel regularly in Europe - approximately 35% of time
