Job title:Development Technician(permanent and full time)Location: West YorkshireSalary: £24k - £26k p/annum plus benefitsHours: Monday - Friday, days onlyReed Scientific are recruiting for a Development Technician to assist in the formulation andapplication testing on various products according to standard test methods. This is a great opportunity for a recent Chemistry graduate who has an interest in productformulation and testing. An interest in Polymer Chemistry would be a great advantage. You would be joining a friendly team who will support you on your journey to becoming a successful DevelopmentChemist.Responsibilities in the role

Assisting in developingand application testing new coatings formulations under the guidanceof the Senior Chemist.
Work closely with internal and externalstakeholders to meet customer requirements.
Producereports onprojects and results from film properties testing.
Covers for any staff holidays/sickness, including in quality control.
Assist in general duties

Qualifications and desired personal attributes required

Degree in Chemistry or a related Scientific discipline
Has perseverance and is proactive
Enjoys problem solving.
Ismethodical with a logical approach andgood attention to detail
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Has excellent communication skills, as will need to communicate written and verbally with customers
Excellent team player
