Planning ManagerOffice Based: Guiseley, W. YorksSalary: c. £30,000 + Pension + Family BenefitsAn opportunity has become available to join a young and agile Telecoms Infrastructure Service Provider as a Planning Manager. Due to rapid growth in their sector, my client is seeking a driven and confident individual to join their team.Business OverviewMy client manages the planning, designing, and construction of wireless and fixed-wire mast sites for a globally recognised portfolio of clients in the mobile telecoms sector, utilising specialist in-house teams to ensure every installation project is optimisedto its full capacity, from start to finish.The Role in Brief In this Blue-Chip client facing role you will be a key stakeholder relationship manager during the planning & acquisition of telecoms infrastructure construction across England, Wales & Scotland. You will Identify suitable locations to deploy telecommunicationsequipment, ensuring the end-to-end planning process is managed in a timely and efficient manner. This will include liaising with Local Planning Authorities to guarantee location and design of equipment is acceptable, whilst delivering necessary reporting andreviews as per the clients requests. You will provide unrivalled support project-wide, organising surveys, attend site meetings, and ensure flawless communication between clients, colleagues, and land agents.Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering on all set client KPIs
  • Continuous building and maintaining of client relationships
  • Strive to help the team stay up to date with telecom legislation and market developments
  • Contribute to the promotion of the business and its capabilities
  • Compile & manage programs of work, and workloads
  • Help identify new opportunities within existing workflows
The Ideal CandidateExperience in telecommunications is not essential, those with experience in client facing customer service/account management roles who are astute and dedicated to personal growth are strongly advised to apply as all training for the role is provided anddevelopment will be ongoing. Whilst this is a predominantly office-based role, some site visits will be necessary, pool cars will be available, but a clean UK drivers license is essential.Skills and Experience:Essential
  • At least 1 years experience in a customer service / account management role
  • Degree level educated
  • Full UK drivers license
  • Flexibility for occasional UK based travel
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well within a team and with external contractors
  • The ability to thrive under pressures and be target driven
  • Excellent written and verbal English
Desirable
  • Telecoms and/or property acquisition industry experience
  • An understanding of Town Planning & Highways procedures
