Job Description

Parker Young is delighted to be working with one of our favourite clients, to identify an experienced FMCG Senior Brand Manager, to cover a period of maternity leave.As Senior Brand Manager, you will work as part of an experienced team to develop a strong consumer and shopper understanding and to ensure consumer understanding is at the heart of your brand plan. You will work alongside commercial colleagues to be able to offer a tailored approach to grocery retail customers, while leveraging your consumer and retailer understanding to influence decisions.As Senior Brand Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of agreed brand KPIs both Commercial including NSV and margin and consumer facing metrics including brand share, penetration, awareness and portfolio size. You will be develop, agree and take full ownership for the 3 year brand strategy and overall and one year brand plans for this flagship brand.You will:

  • Ensure consumer and category insight is at the heart of all aspects of brand development, with the right research methodologies in place at the right time to guide development.
  • Develop a consumer led brand innovation pipeline
  • Manage the gate process to ensure key projects stay on track
  • Develop and deliver Communications plans to drive brands in the portfolio
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring spend is in line with expectations and including evaluation of key activities to ensure effective ROI
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure the brand plans are translated into channel / customer strategy.
  • Our client is keen to meet with experienced Brand Managers, SBMs or Marketing Managers who are keen to explore a new challenge in a fast paced and fun business. You will need to have worked in an FMCG OR Consumer goods business previously and given this role has line management responsibility, you will have ideally need to have experience of leading a team, whether formally or informally.We are looking for a marketer with:
