Bond is the UK network for organisations working in international development. We unite and support a diverse network of over 400 civil society organisations to help eradicate global poverty, inequality and injustice. We strengthen and champion the sectorto make international development more efficient and effective. We work to influence governments and policy-makers, develop the skills of people in the sector, share expertise, and build organisational capacity and partnerships.About Aid AllianceThe Aid Alliance is a collaboration between 25 leading international development NGOs, hosted by the sector trade body Bond. The Campaign aims to defend the UKs commitment to Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) of 0.7% of GNI, campaign for the returnof the Department for International Development as an independent government department and shift the debate to one focused on improving AID quality, rather than questioning aid quantity.Working with groups of local people in and around small towns across Yorkshire this role will both organise and mobilise members of the public to take actions that are supportive of overseas aid and international development, including the climate crisis.As part of a team of organisers, you will build an active local community presence to support the Campaigns aims in key locations across England. The ideal candidate will be based in Yorkshire, have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent organisation andlogistical skills, and a strong commitment to the aims of the Campaign.Main purpose of the jobThe role of the Field Organiser is to provide support and guidance to all local volunteers across all the Yorkshire area and to arrange activities and events in all areas. This is a varied role giving the opportunity to work in a range of work areas, withtasks adapting according to the changing needs of the organisation.To note, this role is being advertised at both assistant and coordinator level, although only one position is required, the decision will be based on candidates previous experience.
