An exciting opportunity has arisen within WWL for an experienced, well motivated and enthusiastic Consulant PA to join our Medical Secretarial Team.The available position is for 15 hours per week, working Monday & Tuesday, based at our Wrightington Site which is the Centre of Excellence for Orthopaedic Surgery. These hours are to provide PA/secretarial support to the Rheumatology Department.This interesting and varied role requires the ability to work well on your own initiative whilst being committed to teamwork to ensure work is completed to meet Trust targets. You must possess the ability to manage a variety of tasks and prioritise these accordingly whilst working under pressure. Good communication skills and the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner are essential.Candidates should hold an AMSPAR Diploma Qualification and RSA Level III in typewriting and/or medical audio transcription or be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role.Candidates will be expected to undertake a range of secretarial duties including diary management, drafting correspondence, dealing with telephone enquiries from service users, audio typing and minute taking and also managing patient pathways to assist the Division in meeting national/local targets.Experience in using Microsoft office software is essential.
