Job Description

Our client, a private hospital based in Nottingham have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated professional to lead a busy Outpatients / Ambulatory Care Department, working on a full-time basis (37.5 per week) on a flexible departmental rota including weekends if required.The OPD Manager will report to the Head of Clinical Services and provide strong leadership, direction and operational and clinical management support to the outpatient team.If you are looking for your next move and want to join a friendly team with a real sense of community within the working environment, then look no further!What youll do

  • Provide leadership for Outpatient / ACU Department
  • Day to day operational management, electronic rostering, staff appraisals & training, and budgetary accountability
  • Develop excellent working relationships with staff, Consultants, suppliers and key stakeholders
  • Provide effective motivation, monitoring and management of the Outpatient team
  • Build effective controls to ensure the Department’s Key Performance Indicator and financial targets are achieved
  • Ensure there is a robust process for Patient Related Outcome Measures (PROMS)
  • Provide departmental leadership for infection control, health & safety, complaint investigation, central alert process, staff development, risk and clinical audit
  • Undertake interdepartmental investigations
  • Manage staff through HR process
  • Leading on pathway implementation / change in OPD/ACU
