The Extra Care Charitable Trustare now recruiting for an Assistant Care Managerto join the established care team at Brunswick GardensVillage in Sheffield. We deliver a domiciliary care service to our residents, all under one roof, so no more travelling! You will be welcomed as an Assistant Care Managerto join a fully supportive team, working in our independent living retirement village to deliver our in-house domiciliary care service to our residents.Hours: 22.5 per weekSalary: £16,189.00This role requires compassion and flexibility to meet the needs of residents receiving care. You will support the Registered Manager to deliver the service, taking an active part in recruitment and assessing the needs of residents. Your role is key to embedbest practice and inspire those around you.Your main responsibilities as our Assistant Care Managerinclude:

• Shift management which will include dealing with any emergency situations.
• Undertaking observations of practice and audits in line with the regulatory framework
• Developing a culture of openness and transparency to improve and enhance the service based on feedback
• Being actively involved in people management i.e., Completing personal development reviews, recruitment, one to one meetings and carrying out investigations and reports
• Undertake on call duties and to cover when required
• Undertaking assessments, completing associated documentation, e.g. care plans and reviews and ensuring these demonstrate our core values of person-centred car
• To complete regular audits of the service
• To monitor and contribute to the safe handling of medication administration.

To become ourAssitant Care Manager , we are looking for:

• Relevant and considerable experience of working with older adults preferably within a domiciliary setting;
• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Adult Health and Social Car (desirable or Level 2 with a willingness to undertake)
• An ability to motivate and lead a team with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong integrity to provide the best care for our residents.
