Also, the company offer a market leading benefits package and annual bonus.Position overview:To provide leadership, support and direction to all projects associated to the water treatment plant and distributed services across the asset management asset base.Reporting to the Minor utilities manager, ensure continuous improvement projects, capex projects and day to day plant performance requirements are met. Provide leadership on behalf of the operations team to multifunctional project teams across Sembcorp energyUK. Drive and deliver priorities while working with the Maintenance and Engineering departmentsKey responsibilities:Ability to lead a multi discipline team comprising of trade technicians, operators and contract partners onDeliver projects in devising full and thorough isolation strategies, operational facilitation requirements, planning for both planned and emergent shut down requirements.Plan and prioritise resource in accordance with business demands.Key point of contact between operations, maintenance, Engineering, outage and project departments.Manage training and development of apprentices and new employees along with their line manager.Manage, lead and direct the Environmental services team in meeting KPIs, environmental and compliance areas.To liaise with internal and external customers in the planning, preparation and safe execution of work activities to ensure efficient utilisation of time and resource.Be the ambassador of Sembcorp WCP policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to.Provide technical, QA, safety and environmental support to the Operations and Maintenance Teams to facilitate the safe and efficient progression of work activities.Follow-up WCP the work on-site (observation of isolations, residual hazards and working environment).Perform a post-mortem review of the work performed.Provide support and facilitation of asset maintenance.To respond to alarms and emergencies that may occur on and off site.To establish / review systems and procedures.Audit of systems and procedures.Training in systems, procedures, and emergencies.Maintenance of documentation.Essentials:NVQ level 3 in complex process or technical support and relevant trade skillsExperience of process plant operation in the Utilities area including good knowledge of all Minor utilities services and distribution systemsEnhanced IT skills (use of UMIS, DCS, SCADA, Maximo and Microsoft packages).Good SHE awareness including COSHH and work controlDetailed understanding of Sembcorp UK, management proceduresGood communication skills (customer senior management)Ability to driveEnhanced technical and analytical skillsBasic project management skillsTechnical and Personal credibility with Operations and Maintenance team.Good report writing, communication and meeting skills (in-depth reports/logsHigh concern for standards (SHE and operating)Good influencing skillsGood problem solving and technical competenciesEnhanced ability to priorities, according to importance/ risk.Calm under pressure and ability to make and justify critical business decisions without reference to day management.High level of personal resilienceA thorough understanding of Sembcorp UKs and customers Safe Systems of Work.Authorised in Sembcorp UKs and customers Safe Systems of Work.Extensive knowledge / experience of Utilities Operations and Systems.Technical backgroundRelevant planning skills.Ability to read and understand drawings.Good SHE awareness.Contractor management skills.Good communication skills.Basic leadership qualities.Credibility with peers, operations/Eng team and contractors.High concern for standards (SHE, TMPs, trade skills and commercial etc).Proactive with a high level of self-motivation.Ability to work to strict deadlines.Problem SolvingGood report writing, communication and meeting skills.Attention to detail.Good influencing skills.High level of personal resilience.Desirable ILM Level 3 in Management or NVQ Level 4.Continuous improvement, 5s or Lean manufacturing techniques.Technical degree in relevant engineering disciplineFor more information on this opportunity please contact retained recruitment partner Mehtab Sabir at Imperial Recruitment Group
