Maintenance SchedulerReportingtothe Planning ManagerBasedin: Teesside (Redcar)Salary: Negotiable - Whilst all salaries are graded, Sembcorp are keen to attract, retain and develop the highest calibre of colleague.Position overview:Working as part of the maintenance planning and scheduling team, reporting into the planning manager, this role will be responsible for all scheduling activities relating to the maintenance function, for both planned and reactive maintenance tasks. Ensuringscheduling activities are undertaken via a process that ensures effective utilisation of available resource, legal compliance and the desired safety and quality requirements for the wider asset management business.The Maintenance Scheduler will work closely with a multi-discipline planning team, taking accountability for all maintenance tasks that are classified as scheduled in the CMMS. Utilising best available scheduling methods, whilst identifying other opportunitiesto implement methods of best practice is key.Key responsibilities:Positively encourage a culture of safety first.Build a strong working relationship with the team of maintenance planners, technicians, and engineers.Accountable for the efficient creation and delivery of all maintenance team schedules.Ensure effective utilisation of all available maintenance resource.Ensure weekly plan attainment reports are created, issued, and reviewed every week.Conduct weekly schedule review meetings.Ensure all relevant scheduling information is collated in readiness for the monthly maintenance dashboard.Overall accountability to the maintenance work orders that are set to scheduled in the CMMS.Chair all relevant planning meetings with relevant departments (Operations, Engineering, and Day work controller).Deputise for planning manager as and when required.Circulate detailed maintenance schedules to wider site team.Help analyse the workload within other work centres assigned to the maintenance team in the CMMS.Seek opportunities to affect cost savings.Identify opportunities to implement "best practice" scheduling methodsPerform a post-mortem review of the work performed.Follow-up on the gaps between "actuals vs estimated" and correct if needed.Requirements: Experienced in scheduling within a maintenance function.Proficient in the utilisation of scheduling tools.Technical background, preferably time served.Relevant planning skills.Ability to read and understand drawings.Good HSE awareness.Contractor management skills.Good communication skills.Enhanced IT skills (Microsoft project, word etc.).Basic leadership qualities.Credibility with peers, operations/Engineering team and contractors.High concern for standards (HSE, trade skills and commercial etc).Proactive with a high level of self-motivation.Ability to work to strict deadlines.Problem SolvingGood report writing, communication and meeting skills.Attention to detail.Good influencing skills.High level of personal resilienceDesirable Proficient user of SAPExperienced in the use of Primavera 6.Willing to be on call if requiredAble to train and develop othersFor more information on this opportunity please contact at retained recruitment partner Mehtab Sabir at Imperial Recruitment Group
