We are seeking a Logistics Technician for our client based in Wilton. You will have a positive, problem-solving approach to logistics equipment and have previous experience in a warehouse role. With the ability to lead and work within small teams, focussingon health and safety and environmental issues, you will work flexibly to meet weekly intake and dispatch plans. Computer literacy and good communications skills are required.This is a permanent position offering competitive salary working 38.5 hours a week Monday to Friday, on a 12-to-13-hour shift pattern with 3 days on and 4 days off.Responsibilities: * Booking in drivers and operating the weighbridge* Ensuing logistics assets are maintained and operate to the highest standard* Fundamental understanding of the six job births associated with the role and processes* High level of understanding of company FEMAS RED, TASCC schemes maintaining all documents for site compliance* Full understanding of Preica Molen traffic system* Working within operational, safety standards and procedures ensuring safety of allDesirable qualifications, training and experience:* Jetter operator and Sweeper operator 10 ton (cat D driving license)* Forklift, telehandler and front-end loading shovel and mobile elevated platform licences and experience* Traffic management systems, weighbridge operation and associated paperwork* Store person/warehouse or logistics sector experience, preferably COMAH sites* Knowledge of top tier COMAH site safety standards and logistic and supply practices, for example, red tractor scheme/renewable energy directive* Maintaining paperwork/documents for audit* Experience of planned shutdowns covering stand by entries* Good written and verbal communication skills to share issues accurately and concisely* Strong problem solving and analytical skillsIf you have the necessary qualifications and experience to be a Logistics Technician, please submit your CV for consideration.
