Day Work ControllerReporting to the Assistant Plant ManagerBasedin: Teesside (Redcar) with infrequent national travelSalary: Negotiable - Whilst all salaries are graded, Sembcorp are keen to attract, retain and develop the highest calibre of colleague. Also, the company offer a market leading benefits package and annual bonus.Position overview:The role is predominantly an operational position, it requires in depth knowledge of permit to work and safe system of work management.Key responsibilities:The Day Works Controller will be responsible for ensuring all work activities that are undertaken by Sembcorp employees and contract partners are carried out with full compliance to statutory regulations, Sembcorp’s safe systems of work and management procedures.Outside of outages, responsibilities will include: -Work pack development and reviewPlant knowledgeDesign of isolation strategiesRAMS review and standardisationSupporting documentationPermit preparationManagement of simultaneous operations and sequenced workInput into planning and schedulingPlanning for high hazard activitiesDuring outage:Permit issuePermit prepWork site visitsPlan attainmentCustodian of the Safe System of Work and Permit to work system for Operations as well as succinct co-operation with all other departments within Sembcorp energy UKIncident investigationsRoot cause analysisIncident reporting responsibilitiesInternal auditingSite customer interface meetingsPlanning interface between Maintenance, Engineering, Projects infrastructure, Buildings, Road & Land Management and OperationsSkills distribution and flexibilitiesDedicated resource to OutagesEssentialIndustrial experience of safe systems of works in Petrochemical, Chemical or Power generationPermit to experience in; Management of Hot works, managing contractors, Excavations, Confined space entry management & General permit to workDetailed understanding of CMMS systemsExperience of Microsoft packagesMicrosoft outlookAtmospheric sampling experienceAtmospheric Air monitoring equipmentCompetence in purging activitiesWorking knowledge of SHE, Management, and Operational ProceduresPeople management.
