Knowledgeable about fabrication and used production machinery, saws and other fabrication tools Our client is looking for a Saw Operator to join their team and work on their Double Mitre Saw, working with Aluminium, PVC and wood frame.The right candidate will be responsible for all aspects of cutting, referencing, and processing of aluminium extruded profiles for the manufacture of doors, windows, and curtain wall, in line with the production schedule. There will be good opportunities forovertime with this role, so some flexibility will be beneficial in this role. This is a company which cares and rewards its employees.The Saw Operator will:Operating a double mitre saw to high quality, numerically accurate and safe standards and have prior experienceComplete daily calibration of saw.Exact and precise cutting of Aluminium extruded profiles (doors, windows, curtain wall)Accurately measure and check all cut profiles to optimizing schedules.Work to cutting schedules in line with targets and deadlines.Accurately and numerically reference all cut profiles per project.Complete all necessary factory quality control data sheets and batch reference sign offs.Ensure pre-use maintenance and machinery checks are performed daily, and reporting all maintenance issues to your line managerUse of production machinery e.g. punch tools, mitre saw, copy router, pillar drillComply with company HSE Policies and procedures.Read, understand, and follow fabrication drawings and technical data/cutting schedules.Follow and work to engineering and CAD drawings.The Saw Operator will get:We work from 8am5pm Monday to Thursday AND an early finish on a Friday£30831 Per Annum + Opportunities for Overtime23 days holiday which goes up to 25 days with service, plus bank holidaysAn extra day of annual leave for your birthday!Career Development opportunitiesWellbeing support through our Employee Assistance Programme.Life Insurance at three times your basic salaryInterested in this Saw Operator opportunity If so, please apply below or get in touch with either Hayley Whitehead or Alex Kearns at the Birmingham Pertemps Industrial Branch
