Job Description

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for a professional organisation in the Tamworth area who are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to start immediately to cover a 12 month maternity cover. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to5pm and Friday 8am to 3pm.Please note that this role is office based and IS NOT a remote working roleDuties and tasks will include:

  • Recruitment and Selection
  • HR Information and Reporting
  • HR Communications
  • HR Processes
  • Employee Learning & Development
  • HR Advice
  • Payroll Process
  • Provide day-to-day HR advice to line managers and employees, using knowledge of employment law etcAdministration of new starters, including offer documentation/contracts, pre-employment vetting checks, references, preparing documents, processing applicationsfor benefits, and general payroll and pension administration

Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:
  • A Level educated, ideally degree-qualified
  • Ideally CIPD-qualified, or working towards
  • Comfortable with data and numbers, and a basic competence with MS Excel
  • High concern for accuracy of information
  • Very good written and verbal English
  • Effective communicator
  • Strong ethics, but with a pragmatism suitable for a Construction-industry environment
  • Full driving licence, and prepared to travel to a non-base location as required
