Pay: MPS/UPS (plus fringe areaallowance) + TLR 2b Start Date: April or September2021 We are seeking to appoint anoutstanding Physics teacher to lead our Physics provision. Our ScienceDepartment thrives on the notions of inclusion, creativity and enthusiasm forthe subject. We deliver a broad curriculum building science skills through theteaching. The Science team is led by a Head of Science and each curriculum areahas its own subject specialist lead, as such the post holder will receivesupport from a highly experience subject leader, whilst having the autonomy tocontinue to develop and expand the Physics provision in the school. The ideal candidate will bepassionate about the Physics curriculum and how this can be taught in aninspiring way to maximise exam success, whilst developing a love for subjectand an engagement with all of the subjects within the discipline. We arelooking for someone who can spark students passion for the subject, and tohelp students to lead successful future lives. They should also be able toevidence a proven track record of high impact in teaching, learning andcurriculum excellence, to support strong outcomes and learning experiences. Theability to extend students engagement beyond the school day, throughextra-curricular would be an advantage. The department attained strongresults last summer, in both combined and triple science GCSE and also in all 3A level subjects, we have also introduced level 3 Forensic Science to the SixthForm curriculum from September 2020 which has increased the opportunities forcontinued excellent results Our ideal candidate will display:
