Do you want to make a difference Are you looking for a rewarding career supporting people and improving lives We believe people are capable of change and deserve a second chance in life.We are looking to recruit a permanent, full time Student Support Administrator that can provide a seamless administration service to our Adult Education team, engaging with our learners and offering a thorough and supportive induction asto the training & qualifications available within the prison.The RoleBased from HMP Onley, our Student Support Administrators are responsible for ensuring that our administration systems and processes operate efficiently whilst providing support to our learners, teaching and prison allocation teams.As the first point of contact for prisoners you will play a key role in the induction process through promotion of courses and recruitment of learners as well as delivery of ongoing advice and guidance outlining the education and training available. Youwill also conduct initial assessments and act as a liaison for partner agencies and other key stakeholders.What are we looking forYou will need to demonstrate high ethical standards, take personal accountability for everything you do, maintain a customer first approach and always want to be the best. You should have relevant and recent experience in a similar role with an NVQ level2 qualification in Business Administration, or equivalent (level 3 is desirable).You will have a good knowledge of IT based systems as well as an ability to report and analyse data. You should be able to demonstrate experience or knowledge of working with learners with barriers, motivating and inspiring achievement of qualificationsor training. Candidates will ideally hold a qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance or be willing to work towards one with the support of PeoplePlus.The salary for our administrators is based on experience and qualifications of the post holder, to be eligible for the top end of the band (£21,000 - £24,000) you will need to hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.What makes us uniqueWe are extremely proud to have been awarded a one-star Best Companies accreditation, meaning were very good to work for.
