HR AdministratorG4S Care and Rehabilitation ServicesHMP Rye Hill, Rugby, CV23 8SZSalary £21,354.89 per annumPermanent -Full Time (40 hoursper week)Benefits:Company Pension, free on-site parking, on-site canteen, local Gym discounts, ongoing training and development and access to High Street Shop discounts.Within Care and Rehabilitation Services, the philosophy of our prisons is to rehabilitate offenders and equip them to re-integrate into mainstream society on release. We seek to normalise prison conditions as far as possible to reflect life in the outsidecommunity. Our aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe and causes of prison stress are minimised. Central to our philosophy is the relationship between staff and prisoners. Our training and operational practices emphasise theneed to treat prisoners with dignity and respect and G4S staff build positive and supportive relationships with the prisoners in their care.HMP Rye Hill is a category B training prison situated in the village of Willoughby, near Rugby in Warwickshire, holding approximately 664 sentenced male adults.We are looking for a dynamic individual, who can work using their own initiative or as part of a team, provide an effective and efficient HR administration service and be an integral part of the small onsite HR Team based at the prison.Along with your current knowledge, skills and your can do attitude, you will work collaboratively and have excellent communication skills. This role requires you to have drive and enthusiasm, be engaging, have a good sense of humour and have the abilityto thrive in a dynamic and challenging setting.The main key accountabilities for this role are:

  • Provide a full administrative HR service
  • Provide a full and robust monthly Payroll service, administering the payroll system and processes and answering queries to ensure accurate payment
  • Create and maintain electronic HR records for all staff
  • Collate, produce and distribute monthly and/or regular ad-hoc statistic reports for the HR Advisor/HR Officer
  • Assist in the co-ordination of Recruitment activities
  • Act as the responsible Vetting Contact Point to ensure all staff have the correct levels of security clearance
  • Maintain effective work systems, ensuring that all correspondence and documentation is dealt with in a professional manner that meets audit requirements.
  • Deal with all routine queries to ensure an appropriate response is provided
