Job Description

HGV TechnicianLocation: Widdington, EssexSalary: Up to £20 per hour + Excellent BenefitsJob Type: Full Time, Permanent, Monday - FridayThe Client: Our client, a prominent waste management organisation with decades of expertise, is dedicated to delivering top-tier waste solutions. Their comprehensive services span collection, sorting, processing, and disposal, embodying their commitment to sustainablerecycling practices.The Role:As a skilled HGV Technician, youll play a vital role in maintaining and overseeing a fleet of vehicles. Work in a fully equipped, state-of-the-art workshop with the latest equipment and display adaptability for out-of-hours servicing and late eveningtasks.Responsibilities:

  • Manage a fleet of 30 trucks, including daily defect assessments and 6-weekly PMIs.
  • Ensure MOT compliance for skip lorries, tippers, and articulated vehicles.
  • Take charge of tyre stock and usage, proficiently changing tyres using machinery.
  • Undertake maintenance and repairs on HGVs
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a HGV Technician or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and repair
  • An HGV Class 1 driving licence (Preferable)
  • A proactive approach to maintenance tasks
