Job Description

Warehouse OperativeThe employee in the warehouse ensures that our goods are properly picked and reach the customer or the internal user in a timely manner. This requires continuous maintenance of inventories and appropriate communication with other departments.Responsibilities for the Warehouse Operative Administration

  • Responsible for the receipt of all incoming goods into the warehouse, reconciling these receipts with the delivery notes.
  • Responsible for making the Financial Controller aware of any issues with incoming goods (goods not received, damaged goods etc.)
  • Responsible for receipting all incoming goods into SAP accounting package ensuring orders on back order are dispatched upon receipt.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock locations in SAP
  • Responsible for putting away the stock in the correct locations as per SAP
  • Responsible for trouble shooting failed TO’s in SAP
  • Responsible for picking and packing orders to relevant sites ensuring the correct lot numbers as stated on the picking list are selected
  • Responsible for ensuring that meters are dispatched to the customer with the correct firmware, rolling back meters were applicable
  • Responsible for inputting correct addresses onto courier system and generating correct labels
  • Responsible for ensuring the correct delivery notes / labels are attached to the correct package when dispatching.
  • Responsible for ensuring goods are dispatched in a timely manner. Responsible for storing products at the correct temperatures.
  • Responsible for stock rotation
  • Responsible for ensuring expired stock is written off from SAP and disposed of correctly according to the company procedures.
  • Assists the Assistant Financial Controller to complete stock takes.
  • Responsible for ensuring all packaging stocks are kept in good order.
  • Responsible for ensuring all waste materials are disposed of correctly according to the company procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring the warehouse is kept in a tidy manner at all times paying particular attention to health and safety hazards.
  • Responsible for the auditing of the temperature monitoring in the warehouse
  • Responsible for daily safety checks on the pallet truck
  • Responsible for advising Office Administrator of new lot information upon receipt
  • Responsible for developing SOP’s and adherence to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.
