Job Description

Technical Manager Location: Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 3DLSalary: Competitive + Contributory PensionContract: Full time, PermanentHours: 37.5 per week (Mon - Fri 08.30 - 16.50)Benefits:

A great opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager reporting directly to the Sales Director.Candidates must have experience working in a Technical Manager or similar role within the chemical industry.The role involves appraising the Technical requirements of in-bound enquiries and providing support the existing sales team.Also included in the role will be creation of Safety Data Sheets, Authoring / approving technical documents such as work instructions, specifications, SOPs etc.There will be interaction with both commercial and technical people. A good knowledge of chemical blending is essential.This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with a scientific background.Main responsibilities:The job will require the candidate to manage their own time to ensure business objectives are met
  • Support sales team with Technical aspects of new products
  • Appraise enquiries, identify any technical constraints / issues for consideration
  • Complaint investigation - Root cause analysis
  • Create / Sign off manufacturing documents (Work Instructions)
  • Check supplier material specifications and approve for purchase
  • General technical support to be business
A familiarisation period with ReAgents manufacturing capabilities will be provided.Technical Manager - Skills / Qualities required:The candidate will need to be presentable and be able to work in cross functional teams in a professional and friendly manner.
  • At least 2 years relevant technical management experience
  • At all times, exemplify the highest level of business and personal integrity.
  • Good knowledge of quality management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO13485)
  • Strong knowledge of legislation surrounding supply of chemical products
  • Ability to author SDS (Using software package) to be compliant to UK CLP / ADR requirements
  • Proficient in writing technical manufacturing documents.
  • Proficient in the use of Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Must be able to travel and hold a full clean UK driving licence
