Job Description

My client is an industry leading print business, established over 60 years ago they are a pioneer within the marketing and communications side of the industry. Based at their Runcorn facility, they are currently seeking Fusion operators to work within theirproduction department.The ideal candidate will be an all-rounder with excellent pre-existing industry acquired skills; ideally with experience in setting up and running enclosing machinery. Im particularly interested to speak to candidates who have experience in setting up andoperating equipment provided by manufacturers such as Buhrs, Kern, Norpak, Pitney Bowes, Bell & Howell, Bowe, Bluecrest, CMC, Sitma, Neopost (Quadient) etc. If you do not have experience on these machines, do not worry, as full training will be provided. Inthis instance, the successful candidate will be expected to have worked in another manufacturing environment setting up and operating machinery with high volume output.You must be able to commit to working weekly shifts10PM6AM (SunThurs)Some flexibility around these hours is required in this role as overtime is regularly available and is paid at an enhancement of the base rate +25% for Weekdays, +50% for Weekends and +75% for Bank HolidaysThe Role

  • To operate or assist on equipment in the production area
  • Check machinery output as defined by company procedure
  • Enclosing and inserting items as defined by the standard company samples
  • To perform quality checks on the produced item
  • To resolve / inform others of machinery maintenance issues
  • To correctly label and package items where required
  • To maintain efficient machine speeds
The Person
  • Has the ability to manage expectations around timescales and deliverables
  • Can work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Has a proactive approach to workalways willing to learn and working to improve processes to ensure business efficiency
  • Can communicate effectively and build rapport with all departments across the business and with external suppliers
  • Be flexible with their attitude towards work and task allocation, ensuring client demands are met at all times
Salary + BenefitsThe salary is circa £26,600 the salary increases after a probationary period (6 months).
