Due to continued growth my client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager. As a warehouse manager, youll need to:Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goodsUse space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are metHave a clear understanding of the companys policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessaryRespond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephonekeep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurateplan future capacity requirementsOrganise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progressProduce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basisbrief team leaders on a dailyVisit customers to monitor the quality of service they are receivingMaintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safelyOversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipmentWhere appropriate, oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems and automated storage and retrieval systems.Salary up to £40,000 depending on experienceHours of work are:8.30am - 5pm Monday to FridaySkills:Youll need to have:Excellent oral and written communication skillsNumeracy and an understanding of finance for stock managementPeople management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideasTeam working skillsPlanning and organising skills to effectively manage the flow of stockanalytical abilityAccuracy and attention to detailInitiative and decisivenessTechnical and IT skills, particularly when it comes to database management and spreadsheetsProblem-solving skills and the ability to work on a tactical and strategic levelthe ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesA flexible approach to work as many warehouses operate shift patternsKnowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
