Job Description

A steadily growing retail company based in Greater Manchester, who are leaders in their field, are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to help build upon their success.Robert Walters are delighted to be assisting this market leading company, based in Greater Manchester, with their search for a Financial Controller. Due to the company predicting significant future growth, this vacancy is offering a competitive salary tojoin their thriving and ambitious finance team.The Role:In reporting directly to the Finance & Operations Director, you will manage a team of 3 and ensure the continued success of the finance division. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting and mentoring a finance team of three
  • Overseeing monthly Management Accounts including:
    • Accruals
    • Prepayments
    • Payroll journals
    • Other nominal journals
  • Offering commercial insight to advise the senior leadership team
  • Engaging in effective communication with external and internal stakeholders
  • Acting as the main point of contact for audits
  • Producing and overseeing various types of analysis reports
  • Maintaining daily cashflow
  • Overseeing monthly payroll preparation/processing payments
  • Approving payments to both suppliers and employees
  • Processing service invoices/credit notes
  • Reviewing intercompany transactions
The Candidate:To be considered for the role you will need to:
  • Be ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Have previous experience within industry (ideally within retail)
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to business partner with stakeholders of varying seniority across different departments
  • Be detail oriented, strong organisational and time management
