Since its inception, the SLP has been a resilient and effectivepartnership that has improved patient experience, introduced innovation, and developed new services across the 12 boroughs of south London.Main Duties:Band 7 Deputy Safeguarding Children Lead,To be responsible for providing specialist Safeguarding Children advice, guidance and direction to staff across GMMHThe be responsible for the clear dissemination, with sound rational for the disclosure of sensitive, of highly sensitive, complex and emotive information for Safeguarding Childrens to a range of professionals, including internal and external stakeholders.To promote good practice and effective communication within the Trust and between key partner agencies, on all matters relating to the safeguarding of Children in conjunction with relevant Trust colleagues, ensure that issues relating to information-sharingand confidentiality are addressed.To provide specialist advice, support and guidance to staff to ensure Trust compliance to the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty procedures/Liberty Protection Safeguards.Work in conjunction with the Corporate Safeguarding Team to ensure the Trust has effective and robust safeguarding management plans in place, that comply with statutory, national and local requirements.Substantial experience in specialist area of practice dealing with Adults at risk at a senior level.Significant post registration experience.Extended clinical practice underpinned by teaching, supervision and assessment.Research and/or audit experience.Expectation require for applying for this role you will need:The deputy safeguarding children lead will be responsible for providing specialist, complex and sensitive advice and guidance to staff across GMMH in regard to Safeguarding Children in line with national and local Safeguarding Children Policies. In additionto this, the post holder will be expected to influence, develop and participate in staff and student training and policy development.The role will be key in embedding culture and practice in relation to Safeguarding Children, ensuring statutory and locally agreed procedures are followed, Trust requirements for incident reporting are met, and all relevant procedures are co-ordinated andadhered to.System knowledge:Registered Professional Body(Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Midwife etc.)Who are NHS ProfessionalsIf a hospital cannot supply staff on a ward or area, due to increased demand, sickness, or common staff shortages, they need to call upon Bank staff.
