Job Description

Established for over 20 years, this niche travel company are renowned for provide flights to the Travel Industry, through their brands and their fantastic booking technology. They are continuing their growth and they are seeking a Travel Systems SupportConsultant. With comprehensive training available, this is a rare opportunity for you, if you have worked in any sector of travel, such as retail travel, airline, airport and you want to move your career towards systems & technology in travel, or if you haveworked in a systems support role in another industry and would love a career within Travel! Based in their Ellesmere Port offices, starting salary is £20k - £22k pa(potentially negotiable) and there is a comprehensive benefits package (detail below in ThePackage).JOB DESCRIPTION: The Systems Team are the gateway between this companys client facing brands and their technology brand. Responsible for coordinating bug fixes, test plans, system releases; they ensure both the bespoke travel systems and integrations are running seamlessly.* Deliver high quality System updates and enhancements through detailed testing * Ensure our products, applications and Systems are working as expected* Provide support and be recognised as a subject matter expert on internal systems and GDS systems (full training provided)* To design, create and execute manual testing plans in conjunction with our Product Manager* To design test cases for automation, working with the Automated Test & Release Team* Proactively test systems for accuracy, speed and up to date information* Complete User Acceptance Testing on system releases, new functionality, and whole System quality assurance for Live rollout * Report and follow issues through to resolution in conjunction with system development teams using tracking software* Scope and document system enhancements and new functionality * Communicate system fixes internally/externally as required* Suggest ways to increase system usage, and reduce off-line activity* Report and follow up on Third Party issues* Assist Sales team maintaining CRM with mass data uploads and CRM modification* Use native GDS for investigation and testing of systems issues and enhancements (full training provided)* Read XML requests and responses for investigation and testing of systems issues and enhancements (full training provided)* Triage cases internally between developers and other departments within the business* Training internal users and creating user manuals for new or improved systems* of 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to FridayEXPERIENCE REQUIRED: As this is an junior position and this fantastic company offer comprehensive training, it could suit both candidates with Travel Industry experience keen into the technology side of the industry OR someone from a support or systems based role, keen to get intothe Travel Industry.
