We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Underwriter from a bridging, commercial or development product environment to join an established team whilst a series of projects get under way. This is an exciting time to join the company.The underwriting team is a small team and therefore there is a chance to be extremely influential within the business working closely with the directors on the sanctioning of deals and casesDuties will include:
  • Underwrite approved bridging loan applications
  • Assess the risk attributed to the application and make a decision based on this
  • Build successful working relationships with third parties such as solicitors and valuers
  • Understand and assess relevant supporting documentation such as credit reports, valuation reports and financial statements
  • Approve or decline applications within mandate levels
  • Monitor and report any fraudulent activity
  • Work within regulatory requirements
You will have:
  • Relevant, bridging, commercial, development or buy-to-let underwriting experience
  • Enjoy working in an autonomous environment, as well as working as a team
  • Have the ability to make decisions and communicate these clearly
  • A confident self-starter
  • Excellent numeracy skills
