This role like all our Tech roles can be fully remoteshould you wish!We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Database Administrator (SQLServer, Azure) to join our team and take full ownership of our database infrastructure. As a Senior Database Administrator (SQLServer, Azure), you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our SQL Server database systems hosted on the Azure platform.Responsibilities for our Senior Database Administrator (SQLServer, Azure):

  • Take full ownership of our database servers, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Migrate and merge data from multiple databases into a flat, non-normalized structure to facilitate efficient reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify reporting software requirements and provide expert guidance in selecting the appropriate reporting software for our needs.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including familiarity with ISO27001 standards, to protect sensitive data and support our aim to obtain ISO27001 certification.
  • Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and backup SQL Azure databases to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize query performance and database configurations.
To be considered for the role of Senior Database Administrator (SQLServer, Azure) you should have proven experience in a similar role taking full ownership of SQL Server database infrastructure in particular on Azure. You should have expertisein SQL Server Administration and proficiency in SQL query optimization. You must also have experience of Indexes. This is a senior position and the ideal candidate will take full ownership of our database servers.
