Job Description

* Manage and implement KPIs / SOPs* Drive continuous process improvement enhancing efficiency levels* To continuously monitor staff performance and seek areas for improvementWarehouse Shift Manager (Earlies & Lates) Skelmersdale£35k-£40kOur client is extremely well-established and one of the UKs largest providers of high-end power products, and we are proud to support in their search for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to lead across their extremely busy distribution operation outof their large depot near Skelmersdale.This is a very visible and hands on role where you will be playing a key part in the delivery of operations of this busy distribution facility where you will be tasked with leading & motivating a team of up to 50, to ensure efficiencies across goods in, stockcontrol, picking, loading and distribution and to ensure efficiencies across all areas.Shifts: 06:30-15:30 or 13:30-22:30 - Both shifts availableKey Responsibilities: * To co-ordinate supervisors & colleagues motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork* Drive continuous process improvement enhancing efficiency levels, reducing labour costs* Maintain and exceed safety and colleague engagement targets* Carry out daily & weekly health & safety inspections and ensure the operation operates within all H&S guidelines* Motivate, train and develop staff* Manage and implement KPIs / SOPs* Set Supervisors & team leaders with objectives and hold documented formal reviews* Proactively identify future development opportunities across all operations and influence and lead development and change opportunities* Ensure the warehouse H&S initiatives are respected and adhered to at all times* To continuously monitor staff performance and seek areas for improvement* Encourage continuous improvement to become part of operational daily activity* Identify and take responsibility for any potential operational inaccuracies & order discrepancies and provide solutionsKey Skills: * Strong leadership and management skills* Excellent communication skills* Accuracy and attention to detail* Ability to re-plan and adapt as the shift develops* Able to bond with team and achieve daily objectives as required* Experience of WMSThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a very well-established but ever-growing business in a key role as which will also bring additional opportunities for the right person.
