* To pro-actively work with Shift Manager along to identify areas for improvement* Ensure Coordination of staff motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork* Drive continuous improvement enhancing efficiency levels across all areasWarehouse First Line Manager Skelmersdale£27kOur client is extremely well-established and one of the UKs largest providers of high-end power products, and we are proud to support in their search for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to lead across their extremely busy distribution operation outof their large depot near Skelmersdale.This is a very hands-on role where you will be playing a key part in the delivery operations of this site where you will be tasked with leading the teams to ensure efficiency across production, goods in, stock control and distribution. You will be leading operatives,pickers & FLT Drivers and delivery drivers and ensure an air of continuous improvement as the site continues to grow.Monday-FridayKey Responsibilities: * Brief the teams at the beginning of each shift and ensure that all relevant communication, feedback and recognition are carried out in an accurate and timely manner* To pro-actively work with Shift Manager along to identify areas for improvement / best practice within the business* Ensure Co-ordination of colleagues motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork* Train and develop staff in line with all business requirements* Drive continuous process improvement enhancing efficiency levels across all areas* To ensure any Customer Service issues are dealt with within the agreed timescales.* Manage and implement KPIs* Manage order processing, re-working and stock requirements* Work within all areas of the business to ensure the overall day to day requirements are managed successfully (e.g. stock control, returns, customer service, I.T etc.)* Ensure the warehouse housekeeping and H&S initiatives are kept to a satisfactory standard at all times* To continuously monitor staff performance and seek areas for improvement* Encourage continuous improvement to become part of operational daily activity* Identify and take responsibility for any potential operational inaccuracies & order discrepanciesKey Skills: * Clear & proven warehouse leadership experience within a similar environment* Ability to be organised to prioritise workload whilst demonstrating time management skills* Commitment to health and safety* A sound knowledge of the principles of warehouse operations and planning functions* Excellent communication, leadership and people development skills* Experience of WMS* Ability to work under pressure and flexible in their approachThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a very well-established but continually growing business in a key role as part of their growth and will also bring additional opportunities for the right person.
