Job Description

We have invested in our homes and staff to maintain a service that is ambitious, innovative and responsive to the needs ofthose who live there, enabling them to live as independently as possible.Our team have been working together for some yearsand provides new members a welcoming friendly atmosphere, supporting you to become comfortable in your new position. Surrey offers a full Induction Training Programme, scheduled on to your rota. New staffwill have full support to complete your induction programme along with the mandatory courses, with further training for your own development. You will receive regular staff supervision and annual appraisals.In this role you will have the opportunity to;

  • Assist the management team in the delivery of front-line care services.
  • Manage day to day activities of small team in a separate units / houses.
  • Undertake assessments, implement support plans, maintain records & develop individual programmes.
  • Support individuals with day to day living including accessing community, domestic chores, personal care and medication.
  • Assist in review of quality of careneed ability to review and assess processes and practices.
  • Liaise with carers, relatives, colleagues and other agencies.
  • Motivate and mentor the team around you

  • Significant experience within a social service, residential, or health setting.
  • Knowledge of current legislation and standards in relation to the service.
  • Understanding of the needs and aspirations of adults with learning difficulties who may have additional physical or sensory disabilities or mental health needs.
  • The ability to communicate with people with physical, cognitive, or learning difficulties.
  • Experience of working as part of a team and an understanding of how to develop and motivate colleagues.
