We work 24/7/365 to ensure our clients’satisfaction and success.We are consistently ranked among the top 10 MSPs in the World by the Channels Futures MSP501 rankings, and we have even been the number 1 MSP in the UK!We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our team on a fixed term contract for 12 months, as one of our colleagues is going on maternity leave.The Role:The Management Accountant is responsible for monthly reporting on the financial performance of the business, accurately and promptly, for statutory filing purposes or for internal and external use. The Management Accountant will create and analyse reportsin our accounting software system using the data recorded by our Accounts Assistant. The Management Accountant will prepare reports, which may include non-financial data, and comment on or explain the results.The Management Accountant will also oversee the AP & AR functions to ensure quality data is recorded and help with the cash flow management.What you will need to succeed:You will need to have previous experience as a Management Accountant with a wide range of FP&A skills, preferably from within the IT sector.Key Responsibilities:• The Foundation:o Responsible for the overall accuracy and quality of our financial data.o Supervising our Accounts Assistant to ensure that the monthly billing cycle and ad hoc invoicing is completed quickly and accurately.o Ensuring that the monthly payment collections and general credit control process is completed.o Working with the Accounts Assistant to prepare the accounts to trial balance.o Ensuring that accounts are properly reconciled and any errors or discrepancies are corrected urgently, working with suppliers where necessary.o Supporting and covering for the Accounts Assistant where necessary.o Reconciling financial systems & data to legal contracts.• The Reportingo Producing monthly Group Management Accounts promptly. These will include but are not limited to: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Variance Analysis, Forecasting, and KPIs. o Analysing and reporting on gross margin and customer/revenue stream profitability.o Filing quarterly VAT returns and other statutory requirements.o Providing cover for other team members as required.o Assisting with Year End and Budgeting processes.o Assisting the Finance Director with other reporting.o Attending meetings and performing other ad hoc duties as required.Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:Essential:• Recognised accountancy qualification. (QBE will be considered)• Extensive experience of preparing management accounts.• Extensive experience of preparing and filing statutory returns. e.g. VAT• Extensive experience of financial analysis and reporting. e.g. variance analysis and profitability.• Experience of using Oracle NetSuite.• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel. e.g. Xlookups, Pivot Tables.• Strong attention to detail.• Ability to act assertively. i.e. Not afraid to raise queries internally or externally and politely challenge customers or suppliers if needed.Desirable:• Experience with using Xero.• Experience working in an IT MSP company.
