Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team on a temporary basis for 3 months. You will be responsible for processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations using CargoWise, a cloud-based softwarethat integrates with our accounting system. You will also assist with month-end closing, reporting, and auditing tasks.Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Enter invoices and payments into CargoWise and ensure proper coding and approval
  • Match invoices to receipts and resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Monitor and maintain vendor accounts and statements
  • Prepare and process electronic and manual payments
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Assist with month-end closing, reporting, and auditing activities
  • Maintain accurate and organized records and files
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and relevant laws and regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in the logistics or freight forwarding industry
  • Proficient in CargoWise and its modules, such as invoice matching, payment automation, and workflow management
  • Familiar with accounting principles, practices, and standards
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
